Next week is the American election with presidential candidates John McCain, and Barack Obama.
John McCain is a Senior Senator of Arizona and his vice president would be Governor Sarah Palin. McCain tried to get the bid in 2000 but lost it to George W. Bush. He is running Republican party.
Barack Obama is a junior senator for the state of Illinois. If Obama wins this election, he will be the first African American to be president of the United States. Obama's vice president would be Joe Bide. He is the presidential nominee for the Democratic party.
I believe that if Obama becomes president, people will attempt assassination because look at former presidents like: John F. Kennedy, assassinated in Dallas, Texas. James Garfield, Abraham Lincolin, and William McKinley assassinated in Buffalo New York. Four U.S president have been assassinated, all of them had different ideas.
Barack Obama has spent 2.4 million dollars on a half an hour T.V. ad in between a football game.He has a estimated 30 million to use for advertising where as McCain doesn't have nearly as much.
Keep tuned in.
Sincerely,
Jacqueline

Canadian Federal Election
On October14th, Canada had it's Federal Election. There were five parties in the running with candidates, The conservatives, with Stephen Harper, the liberals, with Stephan Dion, the green party, with Elizabeth May, the NDP's with Jack Layton, and the Bloc Quebecois with Gilles Duceppe. All the parties were fighting over Quebec as usual. I think that the people of Quebec are really smart, they sell their vote to the highest bidder, so whoever says that they will make the most change in Quebec is who the people of Quebec will vote for. If only the Albertans and British Columbians would do that, they just vote for Conservative because they can't trust the Liberals after the scandal, the NDP's are a bit wishy washy, no one really know about the Green party and the Bloc Quebecois are a nationalist party who are trying to separate Quebec from Canada. Tune in for more next week on the American election, McCain vs. Obama. Did you know that the Al- Qaida support McCain because he will probably keep the American war machine going and then the Al- Qaida have a better chance to ruin America's economy.
Sincerely,
Jacqueline
