Did you know that in U.S., the president is forbidden to have a cellphone because someone can hack in to the phone and find out secret information. When, they asked Obama for his Blackberry. He refused to give it to them. When he was in Grade one, he was told to write an essay on what he wanted to be when he grew. His essay's title was " When I Grow Up I Want To Be The President". Isn't it amazing that since Grade one he knew that he wanted to be the President and he has finally succeeded.

In Canada, Parliament will soon be in session. The Conservative party were given six weeks to make a Federal budget plan that the Opposition agrees with. If the Opposition does not agree then there will be a vote of No Confidence in which they will most likely lose and the Opposition will take over for a sessio of 2 years. We'll wait and see what happens
On January 20, 2009 Barack Obama will officially become the 44th President of the United States of America. Obama has broken a supposedly un-breakable barrier. He is the first African American President in U.S.A. On Capitol Hill he will take the following oath "I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of the President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States," As he utters the oath, history shall be made. Following his oath, there will be a 21 ring gun salute on Capitol Hill. We may not realize how much Obama becoming president will affect us right here. The decisions he makes about the economy, the war, etc. can change how we live. In Kenya, when Obama won the election, they had a national holiday. That’s how much it affects them. That’s how much it affects us.
