Here's a short poem I had to write for English about tragedy. It compares the aid received by Haiti to the aid received by Rwanda
We respond to Haiti the second it happens
Dreams shattered with nature’s terror
Lives and hopes destroyed in a single day
Millions offered in aid

Genocide in Rwanda
So many dead and so few spared
Yet aid not given
Thousands not helped

One happened because of nature’s fury
The other cause of mankind’s cruelty
Rwanda ignored
Haiti helped
Human injustice disregarded

Hutus and Tutsi’s massacred
Haiti left thousands killed and suffering nature’s wounds
Rwanda was a discrimination of a whole
As ignoring the stars in pitch black sky

Aid offered in the billions
For earthquake relief
UN backs away from Rwanda’s grief
Peacekeepers there did all they could
But eventually everything was not good
Enough to stop the massacre of hundreds
That plagues the country to this day

Haiti deserved the aid it got
Yet Rwanda, one who deserved it more
Was under looked due to the the world’s ignorance.
